Conference report:
The 4th EPI-CATCH hybrid Conference provided the opportunity to EPICATCH members and external invited speakers to disseminate, discuss, collaborate and update on the latest research in plant epigenetics. The conference was attended by 80 scientists from 19 countries. The speakers, poster presenters and attendees were from different career stages, scientific and cultural backgrounds, model organisms, experimental approaches as a means of promoting equality and diversity.

The conference covered the following topics:
Plant Breeding, Biotechnology and Epigenetics in crops
•Epibreeding and Epigenome editing
•Dynamics of Transposable Elements (TEs) in plants and epigenetic pathways in Evolution
•RNA-based epigenetic regulation & Chromatin dynamics and histone code in plant stress response


Several peer-reviewed publications, grant applications and novel collaborations have resulted from this conference. An MC meeting also took place at the end of the conference discussing new activities and reporting on past events organized by EPI-CATCH.
