Type of activity: Workshop
Date: 2nd-3rd May 2023
Place: Parma, Italy
Title: Epigenetic mechanisms in plant responses to environmental stresses
Participants: 24 oral presentations. The total number of participants including local ones were approximately 40-50 scientists
Venue: Centro S. Elisabetta, Università di Parma, Parco Area delle Scienze, 95, 43124 Parma
Basic information about the event: The Conference took place in city of Parma (Italy). The aim was to disseminate new insights into the epigenetic mechanisms of plant development and adaptation to environmental stresses linked to climate change. Other integrated multi-omics approaches with future perspectives of epigenetic analysis were welcome. The Event, under the patronage of the Italian Society of Agricultural Genetics (SIGA), was an extraordinary occasion for researchers to disseminate, discuss, and update the latest research in plant epigenetics. Two sessions were provided: 1) keynote speakers, 2) junior scientists. The conference was carried out as a hybrid event, with physical presence as well as live streaming through an online platform.
How to register: the participation for attending the event without registration. Oral speakers were invited by organizers (prof. Nelson Marmiroli, University of Parma, prof. Federico Martinelli, University of Florence, Dr. Luca Pagano, University of Parma)
